Thought it was high time I took a little time to talk about the new songs on the Pieces of My Heart CD. Let’s start with the lyrics of the 1st cut “Lots of Coffee”

This song was written about 10 years ago after a marriage break up. A good friend of mine told me during this time that I would be getting a lot of inspiration for songs. So, I was trying to cash in on any thoughts generated by the current events. After several attempts to capture the sad side of a break up, I finally realized that I may have been a little confused…….but certainly not sad enough to write one of those typical country songs. I then advanced to the lighter side of what a Christian might be dealing with and this song was born. It’s always fun to watch the expression on the faces of listeners in a church service! (yeah I’m not too religious) I’m getting a little braver these days so you may hear more and more down-to-earth writing from me. This project is really aptly titled because it really is a collection of the Pieces of My Heart.
